3D BAS-RELIEFS AND LARGE-SCALE BRONZE CASTINGS
From a photo, sketch, or concept to a monumental three-dimensional form.
We design and produce 3D bas-reliefs, large-format wall reliefs, and bronze castings for interiors, architecture, memorial sites, and public spaces. We create both individual portraits and symbols, as well as extensive scenes and compositions spanning wall surfaces of multiple metres.
ANY IMAGE CAN BECOME A BAS-RELIEF
The starting point can be a photograph, an archival photo, artwork, a sketch, an artistic design, or an entirely new concept.
A portrait, historical scene, city panorama, architecture, or multi-figure composition can be translated into a real, three-dimensional form cast in bronze.
NOT A PLAQUE. A MULTI-METRE WALL FEATURE
The strength of a bas-relief is the ability to work at a large scale. The composition can be several metres wide, cover a significant portion of a wall, or become one of the key elements of the entire space.
Large-format reliefs can be designed for museums, public buildings, memorial sites, representative interiors, architectural developments, and urban spaces.
FROM A PHOTO TO A THREE-DIMENSIONAL FORM
A photograph records an image in two dimensions. When creating a bas-relief, we determine which elements come to the foreground, which remain in the background, and how deeply individual sections should be modelled.
We don’t mechanically copy the photo. We develop a spatial interpretation so that faces, figures, architecture, and other details retain the correct proportions when produced in the actual material.
SCALE, DEPTH, AND LIGHT CREATE THE EFFECT
In a large-format bas-relief, individual planes shouldn’t have the same projection. The most important elements can stand further proud of the surface, while the background remains calmer and flatter.
We select the relief depth to suit the size of the composition, the viewing distance, and the installation site. This way, light and shadow enhance the three-dimensionality, and the piece remains legible both up close and from a greater distance.
BRONZE AS PART OF THE COMPOSITION
In a casting, bronze isn’t just a material. The surface texture, patina, and the way raised and recessed areas are finished influence how the entire bas-relief is perceived.
The metal responds to natural and artificial light, giving the relief additional depth and changing its character depending on the viewing angle and lighting.
FROM A PORTRAIT TO A MONUMENTAL SCENE
In bas-relief form, we can create portraits, figures, historical scenes, architecture, city panoramas, maps, landscapes, coats of arms, symbols, ornamentation, and original artistic compositions.
The project can be a single motif or an expanded narrative featuring many figures and planes across an area of several or even a dozen square metres.
FROM A 3D MODEL TO A FINISHED OBJECT
For large-format projects, we design more than just the bas-relief surface. Already at the model stage, we define the fabrication method, technical segmentation, structure, transport, and installation approach.
We plan the joints between elements so that, once assembled, they don’t disrupt the composition. As a result, the 3D model becomes the basis for real production, not merely a visualisation of the outcome.
A BAS-RELIEF AS PART OF ARCHITECTURE
A monumental relief should be designed with the location in which it will function in mind. The wall proportions, viewing distance, light directions, substrate, and installation conditions all matter.
That’s why, before production, we analyse the real space and adapt the scale, depth, segmentation, and fabrication technology to it.
