INFORMATIONAL DIRECTIONAL SIGNS

A single directional sign does not solve the problem of spatial orientation. Only a set of signs designed according to one coherent logic provides a predictable outcome for the user.

That is why informational directional signs are designed as part of a larger system:
– they maintain consistency of form and message
– they eliminate contradictory indications and information chaos
– they operate in a repeatable manner across the entire area

This approach reduces the number of incorrect user decisions and increases the fluidity of movement within the space.

A well-designed directional signage system:
– shortens user movement time
– reduces the number of incorrect decisions
– limits the need for additional instructions and questions
– organizes the space without the need for constant adjustments
– increases the perceived quality and predictability of how the place functions

For the investor, this means fewer operational issues and greater long-term stability of the space.

– Public and urban spaces, parks, recreational areas, and trails
– Tourist and institutional facilities
– Outdoor areas requiring clear orientation
– Steel, aluminum, composites, and wooden elements
– LED lighting used exclusively for informational purposes

– Designing a logical layout of signs within the designated area
– Developing form and content in accordance with the wayfinding function
– Production of elements compliant with the approved design, prepared for installation

We do not take responsibility for changes in traffic organization after project approval or for inconsistent signage added by third parties.
We do not take responsibility for administrative, ownership, or urban planning decisions outside the project scope, nor for installations carried out contrary to the documentation or beyond the agreed tolerances.

Such a division of responsibility ensures predictability of the outcome and eliminates the risk of ambiguous interpretations.

– We do not produce individual signs without a system context
– We do not create signage that contradicts the spatial logic
– We do not implement solutions based solely on aesthetics
– We do not execute projects where the wayfinding function is not a priority

This is a conscious design decision resulting from responsibility for the final outcome.

This page describes the nature of the solution and the PRETENDE standard approach to informational directional signs.
The detailed scope, number of elements, content, dimensions, materials, installation method, tolerances, and liability terms are specified individually in the offer and in the documentation approved for execution.

In the event of discrepancies, the offer arrangements and the design documentation shall take precedence.
