FORMFACE LED™ is a lightbox in which the front surface is not flat. The acrylic or polycarbonate face is thermoformed, meaning it is shaped under heat using a prepared mould.

This allows a logo, letter, symbol, frame or graphic element to be formed directly in the material as a convex, three-dimensional shape. Combined with carefully selected LED lighting, it creates a lightbox with greater depth and a more distinctive appearance than a classic flat lightbox.

A classic lightbox is typically based on a flat face with graphics, vinyl or a printed surface. Its visual effect relies mainly on color, illumination and the surface of the front panel.

FORMFACE LED™ works differently. Here, the surface of the sign itself becomes three-dimensional. Light interacts with the material’s depth, curves, contours, shadows and relief, so the lightbox no longer appears as a flat façade advertisement, but as a purpose-designed brand feature.

FORMFACE LED™ is the right choice when your signage needs to be more distinctive, dimensional, and memorable than a standard flat-faced lightbox.

This solution works particularly well for logos with clear geometry, a strong symbol, simple typography, defined shapes, or elements that can be intentionally sculpted in the material.

The thermoformed face is the key visual element of the FORMFACE LED™ system. It can create a raised logo, dimensional letters, curves, relief, a frame, a symbol, or any other graphic form tailored to the brand identity.

When designing the face, factors such as radii, forming depth, material slopes, technological limitations, and how the form will appear from different distances and viewing angles all play an important role.

In a lightbox with a formed face, light is not an add-on. It is part of the design. Convex shapes, rounded edges and varying material depths can enhance the effect, but they can also expose flaws if the lighting is selected at random.

A well-designed FORMFACE LED™ functions during the day as a three-dimensional brand element, and at night as a clear, high-performance lighting system.

FORMFACE LED™ lightboxes are manufactured using materials selected according to the desired lighting effect, durability requirements, installation location and overall project concept. The face panel can be made of acrylic or polycarbonate, while the frame can be produced from aluminium, steel, stainless steel or other materials suited to the sign’s operating conditions.

FORMFACE LED™ performs wherever signage needs to be highly recognisable, durable and more dimensional than a standard lightbox.

It is most commonly used for restaurant, café and food chain logos, retail brand signage, façade lightboxes with raised logos, pylons, projecting signs, tenant zones, hotels, showrooms, food courts and commercial spaces.

The greatest advantage of a thermoformed lightbox is the ability to design the physical shape of the sign. In a standard lightbox, you can change the graphics, color, and dimensions. With FORMFACE LED™, you can design the face shape itself.

The logo can be convex, the symbol can feature relief, the frame can be rounded, and the entire signage can take on a distinctive, three-dimensional form that is harder to compare and more memorable than a flat lightbox.

Not every sign should be manufactured as a thermoformed lightbox. We do not recommend this technology for very fine typography, extremely thin lines, sharp details, small elements or graphics that work better as a flat surface.

The FORMFACE LED™ process begins with an analysis of the logo, the installation site and the expected visual effect. We assess the shape, proportions, line thicknesses, details, viewing distance, illumination method and the site’s technical conditions.

We then develop the technological approach, technical design, face geometry, lightbox structure, lighting concept, service access and installation solutions. Only after this stage can we responsibly proceed with mould production, face thermoforming, finishing, light testing, logistics and installation.

In a thermoformed lightbox, quality depends on multiple decisions made at once. A poorly prepared mold, incorrectly selected material, random LED modules, lack of diffusion, or an ill-considered lightbox depth can weaken the final effect even with a well-designed logo.

– detail deformation caused by overly aggressive geometry
– weak visual impact after dark
– lack of service access
– structure not adapted to the façade or installation site
