SUSPENDED NEON SIGNS

A suspended neon sign uses the space above the viewer instead of limiting visibility to a single wall. This makes it visible from several directions and from more vantage points than a conventional wall-mounted neon sign.

In open interiors, customers rarely move in just one direction. A well-designed structure allows the brand to be displayed to people approaching from different directions.

In open spaces, suspension makes it possible to use the area above fixtures, built-in units and customer traffic. A neon sign can become a focal point visible from much of the interior.

In restaurants, hotels, showrooms, galleries and retail spaces, a traditional sign may be clearly visible to only some visitors. A suspended neon sign can extend its visibility.

A suspended neon sign can mark a bar, reception desk, entrance, sales area or another important point in a space before a customer starts actively looking for it.

The lettering can run around the entire perimeter or only along selected sections of the structure. This allows a single neon sign to communicate the brand from several sides at once.

The structure doesn’t have to be circular. It can be oval, rectangular, multi-level or completely custom-designed. The choice should be guided by the proportions of the interior, viewing points and customer traffic flow.

Hand-formed, gas-filled glass tubes preserve the distinctive look of classic neon, even in large suspended installations.

A neon sign mounted too high may lose legibility, while one hung too low may interfere with the space. Its height should be determined by the actual viewing points.

The routing of cables, the power supply location and the placement of technical components all affect the final appearance of the installation. Adjusting them later can compromise the visual effect.

For suspended structures, it is worth planning access to components that require inspection or replacement from the outset, especially when the installation is located high above the floor.
